Welcome to Lupine Family Homeschoolers of San Mateo County, California!
I started this blog as a journal of our homeschool groups days together, as well as a way to connect with other like-minded homeschoolers in the local area who would in turn, like to join us. However, it is also becoming a place for all homeschoolers to visit and share ideas; where ever you live.
Currently, Lupine Family Homeschoolers is for girls 10 to 13 years of age.
And…we now have Monday Teen Classes, as my son has graduated from Lupines, with classes such as Biology and Filmmaking.
How do you start a homeschool group…and keep it going?
It has served it’s purpose well, and now I would like to evolve it a bit. In addition to journaling about our Lupine homeschool groups adventures together, I would like to share with a wider audience how I started this group, and held it together for twelve-plus years; quite an accomplishment in the world of homeschooling, and I have many stories to share.
How do you homeschool?
I would also like to share my families personal journey with homeschooling which began 16 years ago when my son was born and continues on today. I hope that my families story will touch yours in a positive way.
A note about the language of LFH
You will notice that in this blog, I refer to the kids as ‘juniors’ and ‘seniors’. These names started long ago when referring to the two groups. The senior group is obviously the elder group, now teens. The junior group is the younger group, now pre-teens.
